This is us on the morning of our wedding day… We are childhood friends, and we got married on October 1st of 2016, it feels like yesterday. This image was taken at sunrise, it reminds us why we do this. That is her mother’s wedding dress, it survived not only time, but many changes, and she was using it with such affection for all that it represents.
We knew that day would be one to remember. That day was about the celebration of the love that we have for each other, and sharing it with our closest people as they witnessed our commitment of a future together. It wasn’t about anything else, it wasn’t even about the pictures (we blush to say it, but it’s true). It was much more than that, it was about those honest moments that give importance to the day and life in general, for both of us and for the people who were there with us.
We seriously think it should be that way, just be happy and let sink in the fact that you’re choosing to spend your lives together, day after day. Enjoy. Let the day surprise you. We didn’t plan or pose for a single photo, we just soaked in the love and enjoyed the moments.
I remember us days later trying to remember if we had a “first kiss” after the toast! Yes, there are many very important things to consider, natural light or the time for the portraits, that we will gladly advise you during planning, but the most important thing is to let things happen as full of true emotion and as real as they are. What matters is that you live your day full of incredible moments and that is what we are going to capture as the day goes by.
P.S. We did kiss after the toast, there’s a picture of it.
